SOUTH DAYTON TOPSOCCER F.A.Q.s

South Dayton TOP Soccer FAQs

My child has a disability. Is there a place for them?

Absolutely!  The TOPSoccer Outreach Program is a recreational league designed for players with mental or physical challenges.  Your child does not need a physical to play.

Is there a fee to play?
Our registration fee is $30 per player. Registration fees are due at the time of registration. If paying by check, please bring your fee the first day of practice. If you cannot afford the registration fee, please contact Greg Wasmund at (937) 815-1548, and other arrangements will be made for you.

How do I register my child for TOPSoccer?

When is the soccer season?

Our 2023 soccer season will start on Sunday, August 20th with the last game of the season being held on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Our banquet will be held on Sunday, October 22nd at 4:30 at the Presidential Banquet Center in Kettering.

How many practices/games are there per week?
Practices will be every Wednesday and Sunday throughout the season, at Oak Grove Park in Centerville, unless otherwise noted on the season schedule. If you’re only able to make it one day a week, that’s fine, we want you to come when you can.

How long does practice last?

Each practice/game will last one hour.

What equipment does my child need?
Comfortable running shoes, shin guards, shorts and a tee shirt.  Soccer cleats are acceptable to wear, but not necessary.  Tennis shoes are completely appropriate as long as they are comfortable to run in.

Uniforms will be given to all team members a few weeks into the season (jerseys for all players; shorts, and socks for new players and former players who have grown out of theirs).

What does my child need to bring to practice?
You should bring a soccer ball and water bottle to practice.

How are game cancellations handled?
There is an information line provided by the South Dayton TOP Soccer. If you are unsure about the weather conditions, please call (937) 815-1548 two hours prior, to see if practice/games will be cancelled.  An email will also be sent out.
